A Track A Day: "Aquário" - Philanthrope & Psalm Trees
Sometimes I'll smoke a bit before sleep, or a nap. I'll lay comfortably in a bed or uncomfortably in a couch. Fade in and out of sleep, where I'll have thoughts about my friends, and for some reason they suddenly sprout wings and fly into the sky, change color like a chameleon, or ask:
Hey, you know you're dreaming now, right?
They then laugh and burrow underground or something like that.
Hmph. The fourth wall would like a word with y'all.
But I digress...
A harmonic chorus will always grab my attention, especially in a faded, dreamy manner. This song sounds like good memories.
The chord progressions are not your everyday affair. I'm not sure if there's a major seventh in that mix, but I think so. My theory is rusty as hell.
That being said, I wish I knew the words. Perhaps it's better that I don't.
This is the definition of short and sweet though.
"And just like that, it was gone..."
